Workshop for Yoga Teachers

The Art of Thai Yoga Massage: A Journey into Lanna Healing

Workshop Overview

Discover the "Sacred Dance" of Thai Yoga Massage. This immersive workshop introduces participants to the ancient healing traditions of Northern Thailand (Lanna). Often described as "Lazy Man’s Yoga," Thai Yoga Massage is a unique moving meditation that combines rhythmic acupressure, deep assisted stretching, and mindful breathwork.

Led by Kru Gab and the team from The Thai Yoga Massage School, this session moves beyond simple relaxation. We focus on the flow of Sen (energy) lines and the cultivation of Metta—loving-kindness—through conscious touch.

What You Will Learn

In this hands-on workshop, you will explore the foundations of a professional sequence, including:

  • Effortless Body Mechanics: How to use your own body weight and gravity to apply deep pressure without straining your joints.

  • The Four Postures: Introduction to working in the Supine (back), Prone (stomach), Side-Lying, and Seated positions.

  • Static & Dynamic Techniques: Mastering the balance between stillness and rhythmic movement to release myofascial tension.

  • Metta in Motion: How to develop a "meditative heart" to better connect with and read the needs of your partner's body.

Who Is This For?

  • Yoga Teachers & Students: Enhance your understanding of adjustments and anatomy.

  • Bodyworkers & Massage Therapists: Add a versatile, floor-based modality to your professional toolkit.

  • Couples & Friends: Learn a beautiful way to share healing and relaxation with loved ones.

  • Complete Beginners: No prior experience is required—only a desire to learn and a spirit of curiosity.
